Restaurant bag

I recently posted about giving ordinary and somewhat tacky canvas bags a face lift. Just after that post more bags began to turn up. Click here for previous post.
This little beauty was transformed into.....

My new restaurant bag. Handy Andy and I rarely go out to eat without the kids. So it has become important to keep entertainment with us. The best toys for a restaurant are small and engaging. Match box cars, paper and pens, Polly pockets, Pet Shops etc. Our favorites are magnadoodles, play dough (there is a large assortment of travel packs), I found a little wooden tic tac toe board at Target, small puzzles and Legos (I love the small pack pictured below!).
Lego Creators make can be used to build more than one thing. Love it!!!!!

This Playdough set even comes with a play mat.

I like to keep our bag in the Van (oh yes, I am that cool, I drive a Minivan.) so we have it anytime we need it. The bag is also great for Doctor appointments.
I have a few more idea's for your bag. Keep a look out for future posts.
Be sure to scroll down to the frame post and sign up for the give-a-way. Today is the last day to get entered!!!!!

I have my own resturant bag also. I keep all kinds of fun things hidden in it's pockets & try to change it up every once in awhile.

That is a great idea. If your child is happy then you can eat and enjoy your time..

That's a great idea. I should make one of those for the kitten for when I want to stitch. I could pull things out and toss them across the room and have three more minutes to stitch without little paws. lol

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the magic eraser advice. I've always loved those and I've used them in spots but never just cleaned the whole floor with one. Wow! It looks so much better. Then I took it to the door and wiped around the handle and then to the trim and them to the walls along the stairs. I basically used the whole thing up and told hubby I want a bunch of them. lol (he thought I said I won a bunch of them ...oops...disappointment lol) I wasn't even using the Mr. Clean one. It was a knockoff that I got two of in a package for a buck.

I like this idea...a lot! My son doesn't do well out and about without some form of entertainment, so I usually grab a little truck or two, but I like the idea of having a bag to put all the fun things in.

Love the face lift on the bag! ;)

What a fantastic idea! I usually have an assortment of 'things' in my purse and this would keep that from getting all cluttered with toys and games lol.
