Trash to Treasure

It's time to head on over to visit the lovely Kimm @ Reinvented. Every Tuesday she gives us an opportunity to share idea's and get idea's from other bloggers for using what might have other wise been trash.
I found both of my treasures at a local thrift store. This cutie of a planter was $1.50. It had an absolutely hideous yellow ribbon tied around the top of it.
I Painted the pot itself Ivory and the handles black. Now I just need something stunning to put in it.

I loved this pumpkin. It was $1.00. The only problem was I had too many idea's for it. I couldn't decide whether I wanted to use it for holding candy at Halloween and paint it black or paint it brown for fall. I also wanted to paint it silver and use it in my daughters room as Cinderella Coach. Hmmmm....

I went with black for Halloween. I needed something to hold candy for the trick or treaters who never come.

cute stuff! You know, you could paint the pumpkin brown for fall, then black for Halloween and silver the rest of the year! ;)
Just a suggestion...

Both projects turned out great! Love how you painted the handles black on the pot.

I just love your treasures and what you did to them. Great improvements. (I am jealous though, I don't seem to be able to find cute things at my local Goodwill.)
