Bloomin'

I hope everyone has been following Heidi at Blue Eyed Blessings. Heidi holds a monthly craft challenge. Go to her blog to grab her button. This month we were given the Ribbon Challenge, Ooooo, sounds challenging. I love hair flower bows, so I attempted to make them to use in terra cotta pots. Mine did not turn out as cute as the ones you can buy at Ribbon Blossoms Chic Boutique, but they will work.
I glued buttons in the center.(If anyone knows where I can get big buttons, please do tell.) I stained Popsicle sticks and painted terra cotta pots. I may paint polka dots on the brown pots. I then glued the flower to the stick, added a green ribbon for leaves and a bit of peat moss.

This would be a great way to use bows your daughters don't wear anymore.

Wow! This is so cute!
We are doing little pots as center pieces for my daughter's birthday. I was trying to decide what flowers to use, but I think we might have to do this instead!!

These are so cute! I love the colors, too. What did you stain the popsicle sticks with?

Bethany,

I just used MinWax walnut stain.

Those are adorable!! I think I've seen big buttons at JoAnn's.

This would make a great bday present too-you could do a flower hair clip and use the pot as part of the wrapping/decoration.
